White fused alumina is a man-made alumina abrasive and refractory material produced from high-purity industrial alumina through smelting in an electric arc furnace at above 2000℃, cooling crystallization, crushing and sieving.Its main component is Al₂O₃ (purity ≥ 99%). With core advantages of high hardness, high purity, high temperature resistance and chemical stability, it is a key material in high-end grinding, precision surface treatment and high-temperature refractory applications.
Main Composition & Appearance
Main composition: α-Alumina (Al₂O₃), content 99% – 99.5%, with trace impurities such as SiO₂, Fe₂O₃, Na₂O.
Appearance: White / greyish-white particles, trigonal crystal structure, dense texture and sharp edges.
Surface Treatment(Sandblasting/Polishing)
(1)Metal Sandblasting:Removes rust, oxide scale, welding slag and roughens surfaces to improve adhesion of coatings and platings;free of iron contamination, resulting in clean white surfaces with no need for secondary cleaning.
(2)Non-metal Treatment:Glass frosting / engraving, stone polishing, matte finishing of acrylic and plastic materials.
(3)Precision Finishing:Surface strengthening, deburring and mirror polishing for aviation, aerospace and medical device components.
