Application Method
Thermoplastic reflective road paint is a powder mixture composed of various chemical raw materials, with an intermixing glass bead content of approximately 20%.
Special equipment is required for construction, and the process is as follows
1.Paint Melting: The thermoplastic paint mixed with reflective glass beads is melted into a liquid state using special heating equipment to achieve proper application viscosity.
2.Marking Application: The melted liquid paint flows into the applicator cart. The cart is pushed slowly along the pre-marked path to form markings approximately 12 cm wide and 2 mm thick. Uniform width and thickness ensure good reflectivity and service life.
3.Glass Beads Sprinkling: The applicator is equipped with a glass bead dispenser. As the marking is applied, surface beads are evenly sprinkled onto the fresh, hot paint. The beads bond firmly to the surface and provide immediate reflectivity.
4.Sustained Reflectivity Mechanism: As surface beads wear away over time from tire friction, the intermixed beads inside the paint are gradually exposed as the marking wears down, continuing to provide reflectivity until the marking is fully worn. This dual reflective mechanism ensures a service life of at least three years under normal traffic flow, greatly reducing road maintenance costs.
