Coated Glass Beads for Projection Screen Coating
Coated glass beads specially used for projection screen coating are mainly applied to screen brightness, clarity and three-dimensional effect.
Compared with ordinary glass beads, they have the following advantages:
1.These glass beads are coated with a highly hydrophobic organic film on the surface, so the coated beads exhibit strong hydrophobicity and effectively solve the moisture absorption problem in screen coating.
2.Screens made with ordinary glass beads tend to suffer bead detachment, whereas coated glass beads use high-refractive-index organic materials that modify surface functional groups, solving poor adhesion between glass beads and resin and extending the service life of the screen.
3.The organic layer on coating glass beads provides certain buoyancy during screen coating, allowing beads to distribute uniformly on the screen surface and improve the screen brightness coefficient.
4.After coating, the surface of glass beads changes from strongly polar to non-polar, giving the beads a self-cleaning effect, reducing dust adsorption from air, and keeping the screen less prone to contamination.
5.The optimal embedding depth of coating glass beads into the screen surface is 60%, with 40% exposed, achieving the best brightness performance.
